How do theorists and practitioners creatively approach sound archives? What are the modes of access? What does a more creative approach to archive material give the listener – what do we as listeners gain from these different modes of access? A day-long salon accompanying KYTN focusing on sound art. Bringing together artists, practitioners, theorists, students and other interested parties to discuss, argue, demonstrate around themes within the context of sound as art, sound as research, sound as performance. The discussion will also focus on performative sound art and audio archive/data base.
